The LG U970 was released in 2007. The phone features a 2 megapixel camera featuring a Schneider-Kreuznach certified lens. The main differences between the seemingly identical KE970 and the U970 is the lack of a microSD card reader in the U970 and the addition of HSDPA and a front camera for videoconferencing.
