The Samsung Galaxy S is an Android smartphone that was announced by Samsung in March 2010. It features a 1 GHz Hummingbird processor along with 8–16 GB internal Flash memory a 4-inch 480×800 pixel Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display a 5-megapixel camera and on select models a VGA front-facing camera. The base version of the phone the GT-I9000 was quickly followed by variant models for the US carriers including the Epic 4G Vibrant Captivate Fascinate and Mesmerize.

Samsung Galaxy S has a 4” screen while Wave is smaller with a 3.3” display screen. Wave has a built-in Flash which is missing in the Galaxy version.1
