The Siemens S55 was one of the first true colour phones by having a 256 colour screen. Its contemporary at its release in late 2002 was the Ericsson T68 with similar comprehensive features such as Bluetooth and infrared. It was a high end business and leisure phone at the time eventually becoming superseded by phones with improved screen clarity increased colours and pixels such as 4096 then 65K screens.
